Topic: Resisting the Devil
James 4:7 “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”
We earlier noted that submission to God is necessary for a life of victory in Christ. However, we also need to keep the devil in his place, below our feet, by resisting him.
Resisting the devil means refusing to subscribe to his suggestions (temptations), he comes to steal, kill and destroy but never appears so to any carnal man. Be vigilant.
Talk to God: Father, help me to always resist the devil in Jesus name, amen.
