II Timothy 2:19 “Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.”
These end times are perilous, the world is filled with evil and false doctrines but even as majority are worldly God’s standards have not changed. Sin and unrighteousness would still make a man unacceptable before God.
‘Departing from iniquity’ as today’s text puts it goes beyond resisting temptation once and falling into it the next time. It is practicing holiness, an intentional act of staying away from sin as much as possible through grace and it is a prerequisite for answered prayers, pray in holiness.
Talk to God: Father, please grant me grace to live holy in Jesus name, amen.
