PURPOSE
“The purpose in a man’s mind is like deep water, but a man of understanding will draw it out. Prov 20:5(RSV)”
“For this purpose the Son of Man was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. 1 John 3:8b (KJV)”
The purpose of life is to live a life of purpose. If there are any reason =why you came forth, it is solely because there is a need. A need that cannot be fed and satisfied by another person; a deliberate need seen by God the Father on earth from heaven and move him to create you including me.
If you check different appliances in the home, they never came forth suddenly or by default, there was a need and a picture in the mind of the manufacturer before the designing and after authenticating its usefulness; the relevance and impact it would bring together with the solutions, before he sent forth and licensed it for production. These things never existed before (including your toothbrush). If these needs could be in the heart of men, can you quantify that need in the mind of God when he declared in His majesty “Let us make him/her; he/she is the exact representation of what the world is groaning for.
I am convinced and never confused that we were made not to repeat neither have a replay of what other have done. This ability and purpose is fresh and potent with immeasurable capacity to change the world, make an impact and leave a mark that is indelible.
Norman Cousin said “Death isn’t the greatest loss in life, the greatest loss is what dies in us while we live”. Purpose is accomplishing your divine assignment. Do not compare yourself with another, your purpose and mission is very far apart from that of your blood sister or twin brother. You are uniquely made. Discover what you have (within as said in Prov 20:5), appreciate and develop it.
Myles Munroe said “Life’s greatest failure is to be successful in the wrong assignment”. I can also say “the greatest tragedy is to be successful in another man’s assignment.
May I not assume that you are of the thought, opinion or belief that you can fulfill purpose without the help of your maker(Isaiah 49:5). How could you accept the deceit of the devil and his agents that you can make anything (even a change) without the support of your maker (who permitted you to live). Jesus Himself declared in John 5:19 “I can do NOTHING on my own accord” . The journey to purpose can only be initiated by accepting Him genuinely with all penitence and sobriety today.
Without JESUS, the journey of purpose and eternity has never started.
Call to Surrender
If you are in need of surrender or rededicating genuinely your life to Jesus; with all your heart declare : Lord Jesus, I believe you are the Son of God who came to die for my sins and was raised on the third day, I am a sinner; forgive me my sins and faults by your blood, as from today forward ever, backward never. Thank you for saving me. Amen. (Rom 10:10, Luke 15:7 &10).
