Topic: Prayer as a Sign of Humility
2 Chronicles 7:14 “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”
God loves us, unlimitedly, intentionally; but He gives more grace to the humble (James 4:6). As we can infer from this opening text, it takes an humble man to go to God in prayers. The arrogance of some people’s heart makes it difficult for them to pray, this should not be our case, we are called by His name.
Beloved, think less of your abilities; when you go to God in heartfelt prayers, you are explaining your lowly estate to Him, this will spur Him to action. Be humble.
Talk to God: Father, please teach me to be humble in Jesus’ name, amen.
