Theme: The Wonders of Praise and Worship
Topic: Praise undoes God’s Enemies
2 Chronicles 23:13 “And she looked, and, behold, the king stood at his pillar at the entering in, and the princes and the trumpets by the king: and all the people of the land rejoiced, and sounded with trumpets, also the singers with instruments of musick, and such as taught to sing praise. Then Athaliah rent her clothes, and said, Treason, Treason.”
An important thing to note is that a child of God has no true mortal enemy, even though men might have been incited again him by the devil who is the true enemy (I Peter 5:8). However, anyone who associates with darkness becomes God’s enemy seeking His wrath.
That said, the way to overcome is not to physically combat anyone but to hold on to your spiritual weapons, praise being one that ruins God’s enemies risen against you. When you praise, you put God in control and the enemy where he belongs, below your feet. Hold on to praise.
Talk to God: Father, help me to always overcome through praise in Jesus name, amen.
