One of the factors that has caused Christianity so much havoc today is that separation theory that people call ‘secular work’ and ‘ministry work’. This theory has made some people to think they are at liberty to engage in some acts simply because they are not pastors.
Permit me to burst your bubble today. Whether you are in secular work or ministry work, God’s standard remains the same. In fact, the Hebrew word for work is the same word for worship – avodah! God sees both our secular work and ministry work as worship channels by which He rates us. Job and Abraham were businessmen, yet, God rated them so high (Job 1:8, Gen 18:17-19). So, if you think because you are not a pastor so you are at liberty, have a RETHINK today!
