2 Corinthians 7:1 “Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.”
The fear of God refers to profound reference for God, and part of the way we can display this fear is to obey God’s word.
Obedience can be born out of respect for the one who gives the instruction, so, if you love and fear God you will obey what He says. Make this a point to live by.
