Psalms 23:4b “…thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.”
Today’s text is more of an oxymoron, while rod and staff are used by shepherds to direct their flock, it is not a pleasant experience for the animals, yet the psalmist says these comfort him.
Following God’s guidance might not always be easy, but it is the best for you. It takes a heart of submission to delight in God’s correction and guidance.
Talk to God: Father, help me to always accept your correction with joy in Jesus name, amen.
