John 15:6 “If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.”
A branch that refuses to abide cannot bear fruit. This means that the primary reason of being a Christian is defeated if we are not productive for God. A river cut off from its source will definitely loose its flow, there is no life if we are not abiding.
As a child of God, your best and only shot at doing any exploit for God is first abiding in Christ Jesus. The way to escape from ‘the fire’ is abiding. Do not allow yourself be cut off.
Talk to God: Father, help me remain abiding in you, hold me by grace in Jesus name, amen.
