Matthew 4:1 “Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.”
Having confirmed that He was anointed of God to do exploits (Matt 3:16), Christ took the right step following the Spirit’s leading, this is a step which many believers miss. Christ is God’s beloved son but He needed to overcome the devil’s temptation if He would fulfill purpose.
It is important that even after God confirms your place in His vineyard, you continue to follow His leading and expect to be tested. Jesus could have jumped into preforming signs and wonders before retreating for those forty days, but He did not. Do not move before God says.
Talk to God: Father, help me never to act ahead of your leading in Jesus name, amen.
