Genesis 32:25 “And when he saw that he prevailed not against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh; and the hollow of Jacob’s thigh was out of joint, as he wrestled with him.”
God never breaks a man unless it is for making, He breaks to make. Jacob had another encounter with God, a night when He must be broken, but still being resilient, he met with a different touch.
Perhaps the supplanter in him had not died then, God needed to break him and make a covenant carrier. The more you try to resist God’s breaking, the farther you are to His making. He does not break to destroy, let God!
Talk to God: Father, whatever I withhold that could make me miss your making, help me to do away with them in Jesus’ name, amen.
