Mark 14:3 “And being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at meat, there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment of spikenard very precious; and she brake the box, and poured it on his head.”

A filled vessel cannot take any more content unless it is first emptied. The event recorded in this opening text has a significance of the sort of brokenness God expects from the vessels He wants to use. Withholding nothing, but pouring out all that is in you, that He may replace it with His own virtues.

People saw this woman as ‘wasteful’, and so would they think of you when you decide to surrender all the world has to offer for God to fill you. Do not hold back, pour it all out!

Talk to God: Father, help me to pour out all my virtues to you, till all I have left is you in Jesus’ name.
