Genesis 1:4 “And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.”
There are two significant things to note from this text; God saw that light was good, and there was a divine separation between light and darkness. What do these teach us?
Even though darkness covers the earth (Ish 60:2), this does not make it good, and the separation means that light and darkness cannot coexist. Light is good, darkness makes void and shapeless, which would you rather embrace?
Talk to God: Father, I embrace your light, let darkness loose its grip over me in Jesus’ name, amen.
