Genesis 17:9 “And God said unto Abraham, Thou shalt keep my covenant therefore, thou, and thy seed after thee in their generations.”
Verses 2, and 4-8 are filled with God’s promises to Abraham, what He would do because of His covenant. Today we see verse 9 beginning a set of instructions of what Abraham too must do to fulfill his part of the covenant.
Without terms, there is no covenant. You cannot live a life of Covenant with God if you expect Him to do everything and none of the part is played by you. It is up to you to live a covenant worthy life.
Talk to God: Father, help me to live a life worthy of your covenant in Jesus name, amen.
