30 Day Acclamation 2

Day 2: Embrace God’s season

This is most probably the most said task the typical clichè but the least believed and done. Just recently I was reminded to embrace God’s season.

I run a ballet school and in October 2017 I held my annual show. Lots of excitement went into this and many friends and fanily joined. One of my friends, pregnant at the time, came to see the show.

When I visited her a few weeks after the show, this is what she said:” The ballet show was amazing and there were two things that stood out for me:
1. The christian music used throughout the show.
2. The little girl crying throughout her dance to the song Fears. That girl was facing her biggest fear crying but not once did she stop dancing. She knew the routine and never gave up. I was so touched by this and little did I know that I’d be facing my biggest fear the very next day.”

The next day her biggest fear was fighting in the hospital for her life and her baby’s but the baby unfortunately and heartbreakingly didn’t make it. Her first child, her first son, her head of the family, her new lover. May His Soul Rest In Peace.

In something so small I realised Embrace God’s season! I was upset at the girl crying on the stage, but little did I know God’s plan and purpose was bigger than mine. He ordained her to cry as a symbol of never giving up no matter what season is at your doorstep. This has been a source of strength to my friend with this little girl being a reminder that she had to push through, hold on tight and cling to her faith during this trying season in her life.

Psalm 139:16

Your eyes have seen my unformed substance; And in Your book were all written The days that were ordained for me, When as yet there was not one of them.

Prayer:

Almighty Father please help me to embrace your season. Help me to accept your will and not mine. Father remind me that your seasons are ordained. Thank you that you make all things work together for my good. Amen.
